Looking for members

Like everyone else on here I am looking to build membership. I belong to 17 traffic exchanges. (ilovehits, clickthru, etc.) A few sites that I belong to have traffic exchanges just like other .info sites, and I do all I can on them to get traffic.

I heard 1,000 visitors=7 sign ups. Is that true?

Any other ideas for traffic?

I figure most wont sign up at first having only 4 members. Any idea how to give it a good jump start?

Not only spam forums but you could join a few and offer an incentive to get members to join.  I see some new ptc's offering free upgrade to premium memberships for like a month for members to join.
